Education

Education behindthe work.

Two master’s degrees connect the science of training with the analysis behind it.

Master of Science · Carnegie Mellon University

Master of Science · The University of Tampa

Exercise & Nutrition Science

Advanced metabolism and muscle physiology

The foundation for training, nutrition and the way I evaluate evidence.

Beyond individual coaching

Teams, founders and performance leaders.

Team performance partnerships

Testing, performance systems, staff education and reporting for clubs, academies and federations. Scoped and invoiced quarterly after the initial review.

The five practices

One practitioner.Five disciplines.

Assessment, programming and coaching stay with me; clinical decisions stay with your physician.

Human Performance Specialist

Identify what limits your performance, then build the training around it.

02

Longevity Coach

Coach strength, capacity and recovery for the long term.

03

Sports Scientist

Use force plates, metabolic testing, DXA and blood results to guide the plan, alongside your clinicians.

04

AI Research Scientist

Athletes and teams at international Games

Athletes and teams supported at the FISU World University Games and an Olympic Council of Asia event. Support at an event, not an appointment by its organising body.

As a coach I am ‘athlete support personnel’ under the World Anti-Doping Code and must know and comply with the anti-doping rules that apply to me and to my athletes; India’s anti-doping agency, NADA India, has an Athlete Support Personnel centre.

Education, credentials, registration and event support

Marks identify qualifications held, education completed, registrations maintained and events supported. Support at an event is not an appointment by its organising body. Originals are shown to clients and organisations on request.

The story

From ethical hackerto human performance.

Where does this break first, and how far in advance can we see it? The question that links my work in systems and performance.

  1. Chapter I

    The ethical hacker

My first career was finding weak points in systems. That habit shaped how I assess performance.

  2. Chapter II

    The biohacker

More than twelve years of self-measurement, 45+ blood panels and 4,000+ recorded sessions. Every protocol runs on me for a full cycle first. Self-measurement informs my approach; it does not establish what will work for another person.

  3. Chapter III

    Two degrees

My education connects data science with exercise and nutrition science. Data science at Carnegie Mellon. Exercise and nutrition science at Tampa. EVOX brings both into daily coaching. The full degree record is above.

  4. Chapter IV

    The practice

I coach personally, with assessment, programming and review kept together. Clinical decisions remain with your physician.

  5. Chapter V

    The model

As lead scientist, I have built 12+ AI companies, with programmes reaching 1M+ people. I explain the inputs behind each client’s Performance Twin.

  6. Chapter VI

    The long half

Longevity extends the same coaching into the years ahead: strength, capacity and recovery reviewed over time.

My background in systems, data science and exercise science comes together in the way I assess and coach.

Always learning

The science keeps moving. So does the practice.

I keep studying and review primary research before bringing a new method into practice.

It begins with onehonest conversation.

Tell me your goals in a free twenty-minute call. We will establish whether the coaching fits.

Acute:chronic workload ratio (ACWR)

Recent training load divided by a longer-term average. A monitoring input, not an individual injury forecast.

ApoB

Apolipoprotein B: a count of the particles that carry cholesterol into the artery wall; referred when out of range.

Read the glossary

DXA

Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry: a scan estimating lean mass, fat mass and bone mineral density.

Read the glossary

Force–velocity profile

The relationship between force and movement speed, used to inform strength and power programming.

Read the glossary

Four frontiers

The four areas the longevity work follows: Heart & circulation; Strength & structure; Metabolism & blood; Sleep, stress & mind. Measured once a year, watched all year.

Read the glossary

HRV

Heart-rate variability: beat-to-beat variation in heart rhythm, read each morning as a trend against your own baseline; an input to the readiness score.

Read the glossary

Limiter

A priority identified from the assessment that guides the next training block.

Read the glossary

Performance Twin

Sainath’s model of your measurements and training history, used to support coaching decisions and explain their inputs.

Read the glossary

Rate of force development

How quickly force rises during a contraction.

Read the glossary

Readiness score

One number each morning from HRV, sleep, yesterday’s load and their trend: push, maintain or repair, with the reason stated.

Read the glossary

Re-test

The same battery twelve weeks later under the same conditions, read side by side.

Read the glossary

S0 (non-approved substances)

The first section of WADA’s Prohibited List: any pharmacological substance with no current approval from a government health authority for human use is prohibited at all times, named or not.

Read the glossary

M1 (manipulation of blood and blood components)

The section of WADA’s Prohibited List covering blood doping: transfusions, red-blood-cell products and artificially raising oxygen uptake, transport or delivery.

Read the glossary

Six pillars

The performance half of the assessment: Speed; Strength & power; Endurance; Body composition; Recovery; Mobility & resilience. Each measured and trainable; any one can be the limiter.

Read the glossary

VO₂max

The highest rate of oxygen use measured during a graded exercise test; one measure of cardiorespiratory fitness.

Read the glossary

Repetitions in reserve (RIR)

How many more repetitions were possible when a set stopped; most sets here finish one to three short of failure.

Read the glossary

Therapeutic use exemption (TUE)

Permission from the relevant anti-doping organisation to use a prohibited medicine for a documented medical condition, under its criteria.

Read the glossary

Strict liability

An athlete is responsible for prohibited substances found in their sample, regardless of intent. Supplement certification cannot remove all contamination risk.

Read the glossary

Energy availability

The energy left for normal function after training: intake minus exercise expenditure, per kilogram of lean mass. Too low for too long costs hormones, bone, immunity and performance.

Read the glossary

Minimal detectable change

A threshold used to distinguish measured change from expected measurement error.

Read the glossary

Monitoring Program (WADA)

Substances WADA watches without prohibiting them: caffeine in competition and the GLP-1 medicines semaglutide and tirzepatide, among others. Monitored is not banned.

Read the glossary

Velocity-based training

Setting strength work by bar speed rather than a fixed percentage of a one-repetition maximum; a set ends when speed drops by an agreed amount.
